Seminar on :”Roles of Lawyers in Contributing to ADR in Cambodia”


On the morning of August 15, 2025, Mr. HIB Nareth West, President of National Commercial Arbitration Centre (NCAC), was invited as a panelist in a seminar on “Roles of Lawyers in Contributing to ADR in Cambodia” which organized by the Cambodian Centre for Mediation (CCM) located at Hobby Cafe.

The seminar aimed to foster discussion and knowledge sharing among distinguished speakers and participants regarding the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms. Especially, It underscored the significance of the ADR mechanism, procedures within ADR institutions, as well as the vital role of lawyers play in assisting their clients. Furthermore, the seminar sought to promote the integration of ADR mechanism into a more comprehensive legal framework, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of dispute resolution in Cambodia and cultivating public trust.

During the discussion, the distinguished speakers highlighted several essential factors, including neutrality, independence, confidentiality, and integrity which these elements are crucial for instilling confidence in foreign investors considering business opportunities in Cambodia. The speakers also shared their practical experiences, provided recommendations, and addressed questions from the audience.
