On 29 August 2025, National Commercial Arbitration Centre (NCAC) had organized a Seminar on “Expert Evidence in Arbitration: Avoiding ships Passing in the Night” which was held at Novotel Phnom Penh Hotel under the chairmanship of Mr. HIB Nareth West, NCAC President. 

The seminar featured Arbitrator Johnny Tan Cheng Hye as the keynote speaker, who delivered a detailed presentation on the process of expert witnesses providing evidence and testimony in commercial arbitration. He highlighted the crucial roles of expert witnesses and outlined key issues and strategies to ensure their testimony is presented effectively, assisting the arbitral tribunal in its consideration before issuing an award.

NCAC wishes to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Johnny TAN for his valuable contribution and the time he dedicated to the seminar. His insights were exemplified through practical examples and many years of experiences that significantly enriched the experience for all participants.
