To ensure their professional efficiency and competency, the initial arbitrators went through a series of training courses on arbitration skills and commercial law which were organized by the International Financial Corporation (IFC, a World Bank Group) in collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Arbitrations (SIArb). After completing two years of training, 44 successful trainees were registered as arbitrators on NCAC\u2019s list.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently more than 60 arbitrators of various nationalities on the NCAC list. The qualifying criteria for member registration are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 30 (thirty) years of age;<\/li>\n<li>Holding a bachelor\u2018s degree specialized in any field of study from any faculty in Cambodia or overseas;<\/li>\n<li>Having attended training courses on arbitration organized by the NCAC, or training courses organized by any professional commercial arbitration centre recognized by the NCAC; and<\/li>\n<li>Having passed an exam organized by the NCAC or by any commercial arbitration institution recognized by the NCAC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Subject to the approval of the General Assembly, the Executive Board may determine additional qualifying criteria if deemed appropriate and beneficial to NCAC.
