NCAC adopts detailed Internal Rules and Arbitration Rules to be applied in the circumstances where the disputing parties fail to reach agreement on rules and procedure for the dispute resolution proceeding. Only a limited number of issues the parties cannot derogate or agree otherwise. The disputing parties can always agree on rules dealing with arbitrator appointment, odd number of arbitrator(s), language of arbitration, place and schedules for meetings and hearings, arbitration cost bearing or allocation, types and means of hearing, and types of Arbitral Award whether reasoned or unreasoned or settlement award.
